Rose Cut Prehnite and Sterling Silver Earrings

I just recently finished up my Fine Jewelry Diploma and for my final project I created a trio of designs with these delicate hand fabricated wire petal drops. I loved the design so much I decided to make a similar pair for my shop.

This ready to ship pair is one of a kind, with some beautiful claw set rose cut Prehnite stones at the top. On the back of the stone setting I've added a leaf cut out detail. I personally believe that everything I make should have a hidden or extra layer of beauty, because that's really the way everything is in life. There is beauty in everything you examine. No one else will see the cut outs when you wear them, but they add a little mysterious depth to the stones.

The tube set stones are lavender cubic zirconia.

Prehnite has a mohs hardness of 6-6.5. Perfect for earrings that will see occasional wear and gentle handling. It is believed that Prehnite is a stone of dreaming and peace. Its lovely subtle green colour brings to mind nature and connections to all things calm and peaceful - spring, and even new beginnings. Perfect to inaugurate my new metal offerings.
